HJ-ILBS Series Indoor Load Break Switch

Up to 24kV / Vacuum & SF6 Options / Switch-Fuse Combination

The HJ-ILBS Series Indoor Load Break Switch provides robust, cost-effective switching and transformer protection for medium-voltage distribution networks. Engineered to safely make and break load currents, closed-loop currents, and cable charging currents, this series offers both eco-friendly Vacuum and highly compact SF6 gas insulation options. When paired with high-voltage current-limiting fuses (Combination Unit), it becomes the ultimate protective safeguard for downstream transformers.

Ideal for Secondary Distribution & OEMs:

  • ✓ Ring Main Units (RMU) & Compact Substations (CSS)
  • ✓ Switchgear OEMs & Panel Builders
  • ✓ Transformer Protection in Commercial & Industrial Grids
  • ✓ Wind & Solar Power Collection Nodes
Description
Core Advantages
Model Selection & Specs

1. Versatile Dielectric Options: Vacuum or SF6

Match your specific grid requirements. We offer Vacuum Load Break Switches (e.g., HJ-ILBS-V series) which are entirely oil-free, gas-free, and environmentally friendly, offering exceptional electrical endurance. For applications requiring ultra-compact footprints, our SF6 Gas Insulated Switches (HJ-ILBS-S series) deliver outstanding dielectric strength and often integrate a 3-position mechanism (Close, Open, Earth) in a single sealed enclosure.

2. Reliable Switch-Fuse Combination

The ultimate cost-effective alternative to a full Circuit Breaker for transformer protection. The HJ-ILBS Combination Unit pairs the load break switch with high-rupturing-capacity (HRC) fuses. Upon a short circuit, the fuse blows rapidly, and its striker pin instantly triggers the mechanical linkage to trip all three phases of the load switch simultaneously, preventing dangerous single-phase operation.

3. Flexible Mounting: Fixed & Withdrawable

Designed for seamless integration by Switchgear OEMs. While standard RMUs utilize our compact Fixed-Mounted units, we also offer premium Withdrawable (Handcart) Configurations. These withdrawable LBS units can be easily racked into metal-clad switchgear, providing high-capacity load switching with the added benefit of rapid maintenance and distinct isolation positions.

4. Integrated Earthing Switch & Interlocks

Operator safety is engineered into the frame. Most models come with an integrated, quick-make earthing switch. A robust mechanical interlocking system ensures that the earthing switch can only be closed when the main load switch is strictly open, fully complying with IEC "5-Prevention" safety mandates.

Global Factory Acceptance & OEM Support

As a trusted partner to global switchgear manufacturers, every HJ-ILBS unit undergoes rigorous mechanical endurance cycling, dielectric testing, and fuse-linkage tripping verification. We supply these switches with comprehensive dimensional drawings, customized operating mechanisms (manual or motorized), and tailored phase-to-phase distances to perfectly fit your cabinet designs.
